Healthy ways of cooking Fish

The types of fish cooking methods, and how to prepare those in a healthy manner. The below will describe how to cook hygienic and tastier foods.


  1. Fish Fry
  2. Baking
  3. Grilling
  4. Steaming
  5. Poaching

  Fish Fry:

  • Clean the fish and dry it well for a few minutes.
  • After a few minutes flour the dried fish with hot and spice.
  • Use a little amount of Oil, Ghee or butter in a pan and heat well at the beginning.
  • Later reduce the heat and fry the fish for few minutes.

Baking:

  • Clean the fish and cut it how you wish to slice the fish.
  • Smear the fish well with spicy dishes and wrap it around using flexible foil.
  • Add flavour's of herbs, garlic, onion, lime and olive oil as per your needs.
  • Bake at 180 ° C and cover it using liquid before cooking.

 Grilling:

  • Clean the fish in a good manner and cut open the whole fish so that heat can penetrate deeper into the flesh.
  • With the help of a pre-heated grill cook the fish for few minutes.
  • Cook in a medium heat level frequently.

Steaming:

  •  Clean the fish well and put the fish in a steamer.
  • If steamer not available use a sauce-pan in which water is boiling.
  • Then place the fish on the plate and cover it well and cook it for a few minutes.

Poaching:

  • Clean the fish well and gently boil it well at a low temperature level.
  • Incase of whole fish use the whole fish in a cold storage and then gradually increase the temperature level so that it could cook well and deeper.
  • Not suitable for small fragments which are flakes broken from whole fish.
